THIEVES appeared to have expanded their operations to cover valuable and highly technical gadgets such as drones and surveying equipment.
This surfaced after operatives of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group busted a crime gang while trying to sell a stolen drone worth P4.7 million used by geodetic surveyors.

The raid was carried out by elements of the CIDG-Batangas in collaboration with the Batangas Provincial Intelligence Brgy. Inosluban, Lipa City, resulting in the arrest of four suspects identified as Veronica, Divina, John Llyod, and Melecio.
Criminal charges of violation of the Anti-Fencing Law were being prepared against the suspects, plus illegal possession of firearm against Melecio.
