World no. 93 Cristina Bucsa will have her second clash with Filipina sensation Alexandra Eala when they meet in the second round of the US Open 2025 in New York.
Bucsa, a Moldovan-born Spanish player who saw action in the Paris Olympics, arranged a clash with Eala after stopping Claire Liu, 6-2, 6-1.

The 27-year-old Bucsa, a bronze medallist in the Paris Games, took an hour and 22 minutes to get past Liu, last fought Eala back in 2021.
They last met in a $25000 ITF/Tennis Europe event in Grenoble, France in 2021, with Eala winning over Bucsa, 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 (8), in the second round.
The 20-year old Eala is coming off a dramatic and resounding 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (13-11) upset no. 14 seed Clara Tauson in the first round.
