The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) advised the public on Wednesday against individuals or entities falsely claiming affiliation or supervision with the central bank.
The BSP said its personnel do not extend loans, solicit money nor ask for compromising information from its financial consumers. It also does not offer or hold individual deposit accounts and does not participate in private transactions between individuals.

It asked the public to contact the BSP through its email address at bspmail@bsp.gov.ph or number at (+632) 8811-1277 or 8811-1BSP, to confirm the authenticity of those claiming to be the bank’s representative or report such fraudulent activities.
