Puregold Channel’s digital series Si Sol at si Luna has built a following for its grounded storytelling, compelling characters, and striking visuals, with episodes that explore the complexities of love in the real world.
As the show approaches its finale, a “mega-episode”—a longer installment—will be released Saturday, Aug. 16, at 7 p.m. on Puregold Channel’s YouTube page. Ahead of its debut, the series revisits some of its most notable quotes delivered by the cast.
In Episode 1, Babae sa Bus, Sol says: “Ang paghahabol sa pag-ibig ay parang paghahabol ng araw sa buwan. Mailap pero hindi imposible,” using the eclipse as a metaphor for elusive love.
Episode 4, Signs, features Sol’s father advising: “Siguro, iyon talaga ang sikreto doon, for you to find the magic every day. Love comes at the most unexpected of times. Kapag nakita mo na ito, at nahanap mo na, ‘wag mo nang pakawalan pa.”
In Episode 5, Good Story, Luna’s dark humor reveals her heartbreak: “Hindi ka yata nasama sa raffle ah? Raffle ng mga brokenhearted… ’Yung fiancé ko, kinuha siya agad… Hindi naman kami nananakit ng tao. Nagbabayad naman kami ng tax.”
Episode 6, Meet the Family, recalls Andy’s reminder about flexibility in relationships: “Hindi lang tayo ang tao dito sa mundo… You have to learn how to be more flexible… kung hindi, mababali tayo sa dami ng factors na wala tayong control over.”
In Episode 7, The Interview, Luna challenges the idea of searching for love: “Palagi naman ’yang nandiyan… Ang mas tanong para sa ’kin, paano nawawala ang pag-ibig.”
Episode 10, The Eclipse, shows Sol likening himself to “the ball on the floor” unsure if he will be picked up, to which his father replies: “Kung may oras pa Sol, ’wag na ’wag kang gi-give up. Kasi sigurado ako, pupulutin ka.”
In Episode 11, Relationship Status, Ara tells Sol: “Hindi porke’t gusto kita, hahalikan mo ako tapos iiwan mo ako na parang walang nangyari,” leading to Sol’s confession that his life is falling apart and that her presence matters.
With the finale drawing near, questions remain on whether Sol and Luna will pursue a relationship or let complications stand in the way.
