Youth groups vow to foster cultural exchange, service

The Philippine Fujian Youth Business Association and the International Oversea Chinese Youth Silk Road Exchange Association held a joint celebration of their 8th and 6th anniversaries and inducted new officers on Aug. 1, 2025 at the East Ocean Palace Seafood Restaurant in Paranaque City.

Founding chairman Wu Yong Jian Wu Yong Jian of both associations served as the oath commissioner, while Hong Chong Xiao acted as the ceremony chairman.

Newly-elected chairmen Hou Ming Zhi and Hong Tian Liang led the celebration.

Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) president Victor Lim lauded both associations for their significant contributions to promoting Chinese cultural exchange, preserving the traditions of older generations of overseas Chinese and fostering regional economic cooperation.

Lim encouraged the new leaders and members to continue their good work, emphasizing that Filipinos are good in nature and friendly to Chinese.

He urged the Fujian youth to give back to society, particularly by supporting marginalized groups and striving for greater mainstream social acceptance.

The newly elected leaders of both associations donated P100,000 each to the FFCCCII’s social welfare projects.
