IV of Spades drops surprise single ‘Nanaman’

OPM rock band IV of Spades surprised fans with the release of its newest single “Nanaman” at midnight, on Wednesday, Aug. 13.

Written and performed by guitarist Blaster Silonga, the track blends the group’s signature disco and Manila Sound influences with lyrics about heartbreak and its toll on mental health. The accompanying music video, released on the band’s official YouTube channel, shows the group performing the song in a studio space.

The single follows the band’s surprise comeback in July with “Aura,” its first release with the complete lineup Blaster, Zild Benitez, Badjao de Castro, and Unique Salonga, since 2018.

The group also performed live for the first time on GMA’s “All-Out Sundays” last weekend.

Unique, who left the group in 2018 to pursue a solo career, rejoined the band for the July release. In 2020, the remaining members had announced a hiatus to focus on personal projects.
