Kia Philippines has emerged as the fastest-growing brand among the country’s top ten automotive players, reporting a remarkable 71% increase in sales for the first half of 2025. According to the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), the AC Mobility-led company sold 4,195 units, a significant jump from the same period in 2024.
Jay Lopez, managing director of Kia Philippines, attributed the strong performance to the brand’s diverse lineup, growing national presence, and a clear vision for sustainable mobility. “Kia has firmly established itself as a strong force in the Philippine automotive landscape,” said Lopez. “This new milestone shows how this continuously holds true till today.”
A key driver of this success is the Sonet, the brand’s best-selling model with over 3,171 units sold. The subcompact SUV’s fuel efficiency and practical design have made it a popular choice, particularly among young and first-time drivers. Kia also saw a triple-digit sales increase for its hybrid Sorento, underscoring the rising consumer demand for its eco-friendly offerings. The brand’s electrified lineup also includes the hybrid Carnival and fully electric EV6 and EV9 models, catering to a wide range of lifestyles and needs.
Lopez highlighted the impact of “The Kia Movement,” a nationwide initiative that unifies the brand’s products under a vision of progressive and customer-focused mobility. The collaboration with ACMobility has been instrumental in scaling Kia’s market presence through synchronized efforts in brand-building, EV infrastructure, and digital innovation. As it moves into the second half of the year, Kia Philippines remains focused on evolving its lineup and advancing its electrification efforts to meet the changing needs of Filipino drivers.
