The Ang Bumbero ng Pilipinas (ABP) party-list is offering a ₱1 million reward for information leading to the arrest of the two men accused of killing their third nominee, Leninsky “Bogs” Bacud.
The reward was announced following what the party-list described as a “direct attack on someone who gave his life to serving the public.”
Bacud was shot and killed in broad daylight on April 28 along P. Guevarra Street in Sampaloc, Manila. The ABP has vowed to pursue justice and hold those responsible fully accountable.
A non-bailable warrant of arrest was issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 33, in Manila on July 30 against the suspects, Arnold “Ford” Glean Umandap and Joshua Hernandez Andaleon. Police are currently conducting a manhunt and are required to use body-worn cameras during operations.
Authorities suspect the murder was politically motivated. The ABP said Umandap is president of a rival group that allegedly misrepresents itself as part of their party-list, while Andaleon was reportedly one of the motorcycle riders involved in the ambush.
Umandap’s last known address is 47 Ruiz Street, Eastern NCR, and Andaleon’s is Pantihan I, Balayungan, Maragondon, Cavite. The ABP urged the public to report any leads to the PNP hotline (117) or CIDG (0951-059-3843), assuring confidentiality and the ₱1 million reward for verified information.
