The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Friday announced that two to three tropical cyclones could enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this month.
Moreover, PAGASA expects a total of 17 tropical cyclones to enter PAR between August this year and January 2026.

Between 2 to 4 tropical cyclones are forecast in September, 2 to 4 in October, 2 or 3 in November, 1 or 2 in December, and 0 or 1 in January 2026.
The forecast is based on the state weather bureau’s 186th Climate Outlook Forum dated July 29.
PAGASA said the next update will be during its 187th Climate Outlook Forum on August 27.
