Manila Water ramps up relief, sanitation efforts

Manila Water Company said Thursday it has ramped up its relief and sanitation operations in response to continued heavy rains from the southwest monsoon, intensified by Typhoons Crising, Dante and Emong.

It said that as of July 25, 2025, Manila Water Foundation and its east zone service areas assisted 173 verified evacuation centers, serving 10,406 families or 39,253 individuals.

In Quezon City, Manila Water Foundation delivered an additional 320 units of 5-gallon potable water to barangays Culiat, Quirino 2-A, Vasra, East Kamias, and Pasong Tamo.

More deliveries are scheduled for Damayan Lagi, Roxas, and Sauyo. In the City of Manila, 300 bottled water units are set for delivery to Manila City Hall.

In Rodriguez, Rizal, 275 bottled water units were sent to an evacuation center in Barangay San Jose. Relief efforts also reached Pasig City, Cainta, Taytay, Binangonan, Morong and Baras, Rizal, where 200 vials of Erceflora probiotics were distributed alongside drinking water to support evacuees’ gut health.
