The 3rd Marine Brigade officially concluded its Archipelagic Coastal Defense Continuum (ACDC) 25.4 training with a closing and awarding ceremony held at its headquarters in Barangay Tiniguiban on Wednesday.
In a statement on Thursday, the 3rd Marine Brigade commander, Brig. General Antonio Mangoroban Jr. said the exercise served to better prepare Marines to meet contemporary threats.
“Each Marine must internalize the lessons learned, as they are critical to the success of future operations. In today’s interconnected and complex battlespace, every Marine must be able to contribute to the common operating picture and direct fires effectively when needed.” Mangoroban said in a statement on Thursday.
Joining the ceremony was U.S. Marine Corps Captain Noah Doody, one of the lead instructors and facilitators for the training held from July 21 to 27.
Doody lauded the professionalism and dedication shown by Philippine Marine participants, calling the joint effort a “valuable and rewarding experience.”
The ACDC 25.4 training forms part of the Philippine Marine Corps’ broader efforts to strengthen joint readiness and operational capability, particularly in safeguarding the country’s vast archipelagic waters.
The exercise also reinforces ongoing defense cooperation between the Philippines and its allies.
