After several strong typhoons hit the Philippines and caused severe flooding, the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII), led by its [resident Victor Lim held an emergency meeting with the members of Filipino At Tsino Magkaibigan Foundation on July 23 , 2025 to discuss the flood situation and plan quick relief efforts.
All attendees agreed to collaborate with local government units and begin distributing essential goods without delay.
The foundation donated 1,000 relief packs- each containing 5 kilograms of rice and a batch of essential medicines- to families in Manila’s 3rd District on July 26, 2025.
Manila City Councilor Jeff Lau received the donations on behalf of the affected residents.
That same morning, the foundation extended its outreach to La Union province, donating 2,000 sacks of rice (each sack weighing 5 kilograms) and a batch of medicines to families in the province’s first and second districts.
Zeng Shu Ren, former vice mayor of Aringay, La Union and FFCCCII director for the Northwest Luzon District, received the donations on behalf of the local communities.
FFCCCII president Victor Lim, vice president Antonio Cosing and several staff were present at the event.
Lim cited the organization’s commitment to support the Filipino people in times of need.
The FFCCCII and its affiliated foundations continue to work closely with government units and partner organizations to extend assistance to disaster-stricken areas nationwide.
