Jollibee’s Chickenjoy named top US fast-food fried chicken for second year

Jollibee’s Chickenjoy has been named the best fast-food fried chicken in the United States by USA TODAY’s 10Best for the second consecutive year.

The Filipino fast-food chain’s signature fried chicken, known for its “crispy, juicy, and flavorful profile,” topped the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, which recognize leading American food, destinations, and experiences. It outranked major international and regional fast-food chains in the US market.

Jollibee Group Global president and chief executive Ernesto Tanmantiong expressed gratitude for the recognition.

“We’ve always believed that Chickenjoy’s delicious taste appeals to everyone across borders, and this recognition in the USA is a joyful testament to that,” he said.

“This back-to-back win represents the overall joyful experience and superior taste that Chickenjoy delivers with every bite,” said Tanmantiong.

Chickenjoy is characterized by its “crispy, golden exterior, juicy and tender meat, and signature seasoning.” It is typically served with sides and Jollibee’s gravy.

The latest accolade adds to Chickenjoy’s growing list of international recognitions, which include the Best Fast-Food Fried Chicken by Eater.com (2022); Best Chain Fried Chicken in America by Thrillist (2021); No. 3 in the Top Featured Fast-Food Fried Chicken Joints in the US by FoodBeast (2017); and No. 1 on USA Today’s Top 10 Best Fast-Food Fried Chicken (2024)

Jollibee operates about 100 stores in North America and over 1,700 locations worldwide, making it one of the fastest-growing restaurant brands globally.
