Toyota Gazoo Racing PH Cup Nears Thrilling 2025 Finalewith the Tamaraw exhibition race taking center stage

The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippine Cup (TGR Philippine Cup) is set for its third and final race weekend of 2025 on August 9 at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga. Admission to the event is free and it will be broadcast live on the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippines Facebook page and YouTube channel starting at 8:30 AM.

The final weekend will feature two Sprint Races and the return of the 1.5-hour Endurance Race, designed to test both drivers and vehicles. A new addition for Race Weekend 3 is the Tamaraw Sprint Race Exhibition, showcasing the Tamaraw one-make-race cars. This exhibition will feature former Vios Cup Super-Sporting Class champions Allan Uy (2016), Daniel Miranda (2017), Estefano Rivera (2021), and John Dizon (2023), along with Vios OMR Test Driver Tyson Sy. The Next Generation Tamaraw will also participate in a Drag Race exhibition. Complementing these will be the Club Race for GR Yaris, GR Supra, and GR 86 owners, and a Drifting Exhibition.

In the Super Sporting Class, Russel Cabrera of TOYOTA Team Cebu – Standard Insurance currently leads the standings, followed by Alain Gabriel Alzona and Michael Bryan Co. The Sporting Class is led by Jesse Garcia of Obengers Racing – TOYOTA Balintawak, with Russel Reyes and Raymond Cudala close behind. In the Novice Class, Luis Moreno of TOYOTA Gazoo Racing Philippines – Novice Team holds the top spot, ahead of teammates Pablo Salapantan and TMP President Masando Hashimoto.

Beyond the track action, attendees can enjoy various activities. The event area will host sponsor and game booths offering freebies and prizes. Sim Racing Rigs will be available, and TMP will hold qualifiers for the upcoming TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippines eSports GT Championship 2025. Fans can also view displays of Toyota’s GR and GR-S lineups, and vehicles from various Toyota Car Clubs. Official GR merchandise will be available for purchase. The local band Over October is scheduled to perform, followed by the awarding ceremony for Race Weekend 3 winners.

“It’s the final race weekend of the year, so we want to end on a high with new activities such as the Tamaraw Sprint Race, and the return of the Endurance Race,” stated TMP Assistant Vice President for Marketing Services Andy Ty.
