Financial advisor and content creator Zac Alviz has issued a public apology after facing criticism for a Facebook post that many deemed insensitive during the recent calamities.
The now-deleted post praised condo living amid severe weather, saying, “Resume Netflix na ulit,” while others were grappling with floods and damaged homes.

Online backlash was swift. Fellow influencers, including podcaster TPC and content creator Rendon Labrador, called him out for flaunting privilege during a time of crisis.
In response, Alviz posted a lengthy apology. “It was insensitive and irresponsible, especially given the situation so many are going through right now,” he said.

He reflected on his upbringing in flood-prone areas like Valenzuela and Malabon, admitting he should have known better. “I’ve always been self-aware of a flaw I carry: I often lack empathy,” he wrote.
Alviz added that while he often focuses on offering solutions, he now recognizes the importance of considering people’s lived experiences. “I’m not better than anyone, and I never meant to come across as entitled or out of touch,” he said.
He ended by acknowledging the feedback and expressing a commitment to learning and doing better moving forward.
