Tasha, Julia, and Ezri Mitra, daughters of composer and musical director Raul Mitra and Cacai Velasquez-Mitra, have officially signed with Star Magic, joining the roster of the talent agency on Friday.
The sisters, who are also nieces of Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, said they are preparing to release their first single soon under Star Music.
“At first we weren’t really sure if we would get along, but now I can say that this is such a blessing to have my sisters in this journey,” said Julia during the contract signing. “We’re just so grateful that Star Magic trusted us even though we don’t have much experience yet.”
When asked about comparisons to their aunt Regine, the sisters were clear: “She’s so iconic. But ours is going to be different.”
Regine, who was present at the event, gave her support but reminded them to stay grounded: “I’m so proud of you girls… Just remember that all of this—the fame—is temporary. It will go away. But family, being sisters, is more important.”
