Philippine travel tax payment integrated into eGovPH super app and eTravel system

The government has integrated its travel tax payment facility into the eGovPH Super App and eTravel System to streamline outbound travel procedures and advance digital transformation.

The Department of Tourism (DOT), through its infrastructure arm the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), teamed up with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to launch the “Travel Tax Declaration Integration” on July 24, 2025

The new feature incorporates TIEZA’s Travel Tax Payment Facility into both the eGovPH Super App and the eTravel System.

This aims to provide a centralized, secure, and user-friendly digital platform that simplifies the payment process for Filipino and foreign nationals departing the country. The integration is expected to eliminate the need for in-person transactions at airport counters and enhance the overall passenger experience.

The launch event, held at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City, included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). DICT Secretary Henry Aguda, represented by Undersecretaries Christina Faye Condez-de Sagon and David Almirol, and TIEZA Chief Operating Officer Mark Lapid, joined by Assistant COO Joy Bulauitan, signed the agreement.

The signing was witnessed by Anti Red Tape Authority (ARTA) Secretary Ernesto Perez and DOT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, who was represented by Undersecretary Shahlimar Hofer Tamano.
