Malacañang announced it is extending widespread suspension orders for classes in all education for both public and private schools, as well as work in government offices up to Thursday, July 24, amid the prevailing southwest monsoon rains enhanced by latest tropical cyclones.
As of 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, the class and work interruption advisories cover 36 locations in the following regions:

The order was based on the recommendation of national and local disaster officials guided by the latest weather forecast of PAGASA in light of tropical cyclones ‘Dante’ and ‘Emong’ whose winds enhanced the ongoing southwest monsoon rains or ‘habagat.’
While government offices remain closed, all employees considered essential in rendering public services related to disaster response and relief operations are required to be on duty under the circumstances.
