Power transmission network system operator National Grid Corp. of the Philippines briefs Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Sharon Garin on the current status of the transmission grid following the passage of Tropical Storm Crising and the ongoing impact of the southwest monsoon (habagat). Garin, accompanied by Undersecretary Felix William Fuentebella, were received by NGCP’s System Operations (SO) team, led by vice president and head of SO Reynaldo Abadilla, at the Luzon Regional Control Center. NGCP reported normal operations of all its transmission facilities but continues to closely monitor the prevailing southwest monsoon to ensure reliable transmission services.
