The death toll from the combined effects of severe tropical storm ‘Crising’ and the southwest monsoon or ‘habagat’ rose to five with a total of 800,864 individuals affected—equivalent to 225,985 families—in 1,556 villages nationwide.
Latest data from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) released on Monday morning showed the number of injured also climbed to five. It has validated two fatalities while seven individuals are still missing.
A total of 20,115 individuals or 5,921 families are staying in evacuation centers. Those outside evacuation centers reached 70,720 individuals or 16,671 families.

Damage to infrastructure rose to P219,370,214.38 and damage to houses logged is P1,025,375.
While ‘Crising’ has left the Philippine area of responsibility, its effects continue to be felt, with intermittent rains, potential flooding, and landslides still a concern in some areas, according to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).
OCD also said it is working closely with regional disaster risk reduction offices to issue timely advisories and deploy pre-positioned resources.
OCD, in partnership with other national agencies and local government units, has so far provided ₱29,052,620.19 worth of assistance to 40,147 affected families and continues to reach more communities in need.
