Secretary Vince Dizon has pledged full support for Rush PH, a new web-based application designed to track real-time train arrivals and help commuters plan their journeys.
Dizon assured Rush PH developer Joshua Bumanlag that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. backs the initiative, which aims to alleviate daily commute burdens through digitalization and crowdsourced reporting.
He that the DOTr would integrate the application into the country’s three main rail lines.
“This application is great because it has crowdsourcing and gets real-time responses from commuters. I admire Joshua because apart from helping our fellow commuters, we can keep up with other countries when it is fully operational and integrated into our rail lines,” Dizon told Bumanlag.
The Rush PH application allows commuters to track or report train arrivals on the MRT-3, LRT-1 and LRT-2 rail systems in real time. It also provides information on limited train services due to glitches and indicates whether stations are empty, moderately busy, crowded or packed. Darwin G. Amojelar
Bumanlag said that before developing the application, he personally monitored the headway of each train at every station on the MRT-3, LRT-1, and LRT-2 lines.
