ANTI-drug police operatives on Wednesday arrested an alleged “high-value” suspect and confiscated P21-million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.
The 25-year-old suspect was reportedly caught with 3.2 kilograms of metamphetamine hydrochloride commonly called shabu, wrapped in plastic bags and vacuum-sealed packs valued at roughly P21.7 million in the black market.
.Also seized were the marked money, a mobile phone, a white motorcycle, and two digital weighing scales.
Drug charges are currently being prepared against the suspect whose identity was temporarily withheld.
National Capital Region Police Office chief Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin congratulated the arresting officers for a job well done.
“This arrest reaffirms our commitment to an intelligence-driven and procedure-based anti-illegal drug campaign pursuant to the directive of (Philippine National Police) chief General Nicolas Torre III. With relentless anti-drug operations and swift police action, our objective is to remove the illegal drug menace in Metro Manila with the help of partner-agencies and the community,” Aberin said.
