1-hectare mega health center to rise in Tarlac

State-run Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) said it is teaming up with the municipal government of Capas, Tarlac for the construction of a one-hectare mega health center in New Clark City.

The project will be funded by the Department of Health (DOH), with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) handling the bidding and construction.

Once completed, the facility will be operated and maintained by the municipal government of Capas.

“This project strengthens our shared goal of making essential services more accessible to Filipinos. With BCDA providing the land and Capas taking charge of operations, this health center will stand as a product of true public sector synergy,” BCDA president and chief executive Joshua Bingcang said.

The planned facility will complement NCC’s growing infrastructure by delivering broader medical services to communities across urban and rural Tarlac.

Healthcare needs in the area are served by the UP-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) Sports Medicine and Wellness Center, which offers basic medical and dental services and is slated for future expansion into a 200-bed hospital.
