The Philippine National Police Foundation Inc. (PNPFI) donated ₱7,951,700 worth of office and police equipment to the Philippine National Police (PNP) during a turnover ceremony held at the PNP national headquarters on July 11.
The donation includes 185 units of Intel 12th generation laptops, 62 Epson L3210 printers, 32 Crown Pro-5008R public broadcast systems, 30 Acer X1228i and Infocus DLP projectors, 9 four-channel Hikvision CCTV systems and 35 Sunpeed bicycles.
The equipment will be distributed to PNP stations and offices nationwide to support administrative work and field operations.
The donation was made by the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) president Victor Lim on behalf of PNPFI.
PNP Chief Police General Nicolas Torre III, PNP officer-in-charge for logistics Police Major General Lou F. Evangelista and PNPFI board member Ka Kuen Chua were present during the event.
The PNP said the donation would improve the efficiency, mobility and response capabilities of its units and contribute to building a more professional and reliable police force.
PNPFI was founded on June 28, 2000, at the Manila Fiesta Pavilion Hotel. Its founders include Defense Secretary Secretary Gilbert Teodoro and MPRO founding chairperson Teresita Ang Sy.
The foundation promotes the involvement of civil society in crime prevention and police support. Michael Wong Ho
