Sweet spot
Don’t get me wrong. I was already sold on the promise of savings. But I knew I had to put Grab Dine Out to the test to check if it lived up to its bold claims.
I immediately went to the nearest mall, SM City Grand Central, to try it out. Lo and behold, the app feature worked then and there!
Through Dine Out, I saw that one of the many partner merchants was Caramia Cakes & Gelato. I thought since it was my birth week, I could buy an entire Mango Magnifico cake to share with the family.
Through Grab Dine Out, with the help of an e-wallet linked to my Grab account, I was able to buy a P1,500 voucher at 20 percent off for P1,200. This allowed me to buy my desired cake on top of a pint of my favorite Strawberry Supreme gelato.
After all, another goal for the money-conscious is to ensure bang for their buck. It’s more so about making the most value out of one’s hard-earned cash rather than just minimizing one’s bill.

A highlight would be the feature’s standout convenience, as seen in seamless digital booking and hassle-free redemption.
This allowed me to discover a selection of restaurants within reach—but otherwise unbeknownst to me.
The mangoes in whipped cream coating cashew brittles in light chiffon were delectable.
However, it was only the icing on top of a delicious user experience using Grab Dine Out.
