Twenty-four vehicles were impounded during the latest road clearing operations conducted by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) in Manila and Caloocan over the weekend.

A composite team addressed complaints about illegal parking and inspected roads including C-3 Road, Tamban, Tanigue, and Tulingan, issuing 42 citation tickets and towing 14 cars to the Tumana impounding site.

In Manila, the MMDA and the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau monitored Carlos Palanca Street, where 25 vehicles were ticketed and 10 impounded. MMDA Chairman Romando Artes reminded motorists not to park on Mabuhay Lanes or sidewalks, as these routes will serve as alternatives once the EDSA rehabilitation begins.

The EDSA Rebuild Project has been postponed to allow time for comprehensive rerouting plans. Artes assured the public that clearing operations will continue in coordination with local governments.
