“The LPA has a high potential to become a tropical depression within the next 24 hours,” the weather bureau also said.

Furthermore,  the LPA is forecast to bring moderate to heavy rains over parts of Northern Luzon until Friday.

The southwest monsoon is also expected to bring scattered rains in Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas.

PAGASA said it is also monitoring a tropical cyclone outside PAR located at 2,660 kms northeast of extreme Northern Luzon.
