Jehovah’s Witnesses will return to Pasay City this weekend to hold their annual global convention series themed “Pure Worship!” at the SMX Convention Center. The free three-day program will run across two weekends starting June 27 and is expected to attract more than 17,500 attendees.
The event will feature Bible-based videos, discourses, and interviews exploring the life of Jesus Christ, including how he overcame temptation, performed his first miracle, and demonstrated love and compassion.
Spokesman James Morales said Saturday’s highlight will be the baptism of local candidates, along with the screening of Episode 2 of “The Good News According to Jesus,” an 18-part video series about Jesus’ ministry.
Last year, nearly 11 million people attended more than 6,000 conventions organized by Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide. Organizers said the Pasay gathering will also help boost the local economy by bringing thousands of visitors to the city.
The Witnesses, one of the largest non-profit convention organizers globally, said the event is open to all and aims to strengthen faith and community spirit.
