DUNKIN’ YASHA MAKES A SOLD-OUT SPLASH AT TOYCON PH 2025:

SLIMSULIT and Dunkin’ Philippines’ first-ever designer toy collab becomes a cultural collectible

Manila, Philippines – The hype was real, and it brewed into a full-blown moment. Over the weekend, TOYCON PH 2025 witnessed one of its most talked-about drops as Dunkin’ Philippines and designer toy artist SLIMSULIT (EJ Sulit) officially released the Dunkin’ YASHA: a shy, caffeine-loving figure that brought together storytelling, nostalgia, and Filipino creativity.

Held at the SMX Convention Center from June 13 to 15, the launch drew in designer toy collectors, pop culture enthusiasts, and loyal Dunkin’ fans alike. All 100 pieces of the limited-edition Dunkin’ YASHA were sold before the ToyCon concluded.

Meticulously sculpted in resin, the Dunkin’ YASHA figure is a quiet icon. Holding a Dunkin’ Brewed Coffee in one hand and the classic Boston Kreme in the other. It’s a character brimming with personality: reserved, nostalgic, and rich in personal connection.

For SLIMSULIT, the release was deeply personal. As a child, his after-school ritual included frequent trips to Dunkin’ with his mom at their neighborhood branch in Crossing, Mandaluyong. “We went so often that we knew everyone by name! Ate Cecil, Ate Emma, even Kuya Vic, the security guard,” he shared. Beyond being a collaboration, the toy served as a tribute to those small, heartwarming moments that shaped his childhood.

The figure, Yasha, draws inspiration from both Super Mario’s Shy Guy and EJ himself. “Nahihiya siya,” he laughs, referencing both the toy’s name and his naturally reserved personality. That quiet charm resonated strongly with attendees, turning the Dunkin’ YASHA into a symbolic, heartfelt collectible.

Beyond the drop, the Dunkin’ booth at TOYCON became an experience in itself. Lucky buyers who secured their Yasha figures were treated to surprise goodies, further fueling excitement and the brand’s strong connection with both fans and the creative community.

About the Artist:

SLIMSULIT (EJ Sulit) is one of the most exciting names in the Philippine designer toy scene. Known for his unique ability to blend pop culture with deeply personal narratives, his past collaborations — including a sold-out drop with New Era Cap Philippines and international toy con appearances — have cemented his place on the global art toy map. Dunkin’ YASHA adds another powerful chapter to his growing legacy.
