VOTING turned out to be the last act of patriotic duty by Nestor Rensales, 65, of Oas, Albay.
Police said after casting his ballot, Rensales collapsed right inside the polling precinct at Oas South Central School in Barangay Ilaor Sur,

Election medical staff provided first aid at the scene before taking the elderly voter Rensales to the Josefina Belmonte Duran Albay Provincial Hospital in Ligao City. Unfortunately, he was declared dead on arrival.
