In his speech, Co shared his entrepreneurial journey and recalled how he came to the Philippines at 18, started from humble beginnings and eventually founded Bionic Auto Supply.

He encouraged Filipino-Chinese entrepreneurs to follow the law, treat employees fairly, and help strengthen the friendship between China and the Philippines.

He also pledged to work with the new team to continue the growth and success of the association.

Outgoing president Jerry Lim said he was proud to lead the Chamber during major milestones like its 50th anniversary and Valenzuela City’s 400th anniversary.

Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) president Victor Lim led the oath-taking of the new officers, directors and youth group.

In his message, Lim lauded the Valenzuela Chamber for its long-standing support of urban economic development through strong cooperation with the government and local communities.

As 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and China, he emphasized that the Filipino-Chinese community should continue to serve as a bridge and link to promote friendship between the two countries and bring benefits to both peoples.

As a gesture of support and goodwill, Xu donated P100,000 on behalf of the association to the FFCCCII’s “Grant for Lost Filipino Chinese Students” education assistance project, reinforcing the association’s commitment to youth development and education.

Valenzuela Mayor Weslie Gatchalian and Senator Win Gatchalian were also present during the event. Both commended the chamber for its contribution to urban development and public welfare. Julie Ann Lope
