Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte endorsed the senatorial bid of Camille Villar as she campaigned among concerned sectors in the city on Monday.
Grateful for the support, Villar reiterated her commitment to prioritize the welfare of women, youth, and the marginalized sector, and promote better healthcare services and improve education.
The two-term legislator joined the conduct of a gender and development assembly initiated by the QC government aimed at advancing gender equality in all sectors of society, including education, employment, healthcare, and political participation.
She also listened to the concern of transport groups, including tricycle drivers and operators.
Quezon City is one of the vote-rich cities in Metro Manila, accounting for 1,382,018 registered voters based on data of the Commission on Elections.
