CIDG agents arrest three Vietnamese in Imus City

Operatives from the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) have arrested three Vietnamese nationals in Cavite for alleged illegal practice of medicine.

The PNP-CIDG identified the suspects as Julie Nguyen, Luna Pham and Ryan Truong. They were nabbed Feb. 27 at a beauty lounge in Imus City for violation of Republic Act 2382 or The Medical Act.

“We encourage the public to report any illegal practice of medicine and other criminal activities in your localities and your CIDG will do the rest,” CIDG chief Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said in a statement.

The suspects allegedly introduced themselves as doctors who perform stem cell operation, hair regrowth, body sculpture and biostimulation collagen injections and other derma-related procedures without the required medical licenses and permits to do business in the Philippines.
