Senators Christopher Lawrence Go and Ronald dela Rosa of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) filed their certificates of candidacy (COC) for re-election Thursday together with actor Philip Salvador, who is trying his luck for the first time in the 2025 senatorial race.
The three submitted their COCs before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) at the Manila Hotel Tent with incumbent PDP president Senator Robinhood Padilla.
In a Facebook post, Go said his main objective in seeking re-election is to continue his work in public service. Dela Rosa, meanwhile, said he will also keep focusing on pursuing legislations related to peace and order if given a chance to serve again.
Go and Dela Rosa entered politics in 2019 largely boosted by their alliance with former President and PDP chairperson Rodrigo Duterte.
