PBBM, First Lady bring free medical services to Pasig

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise Araneta Marcos, accompanied by Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Ted Herbosa, brought the ‘Libreng Laboratoryo, Konsulta at Gamot Para sa Lahat’ or ‘LAB for ALL’ caravan to Pasig City on Thursday.

The LAB for ALL caravan provides various services, including free consultations, free medicines, and basic laboratory tests conducted in the Bagong Pilipinas Mobile Clinics.

From May 2023 to June 26, 2024, the caravan visited 29 locations nationwide.

During the program, the President and the First Lady observed the ongoing LAB for ALL services at Rizal High School and led the turnover of three LAB for ALL Mobile Laboratories to the Municipality of Sta. Catalina in Ilocos Sur, Tacloban City Government, and Pasig City Government.

These clinics are designed to enhance the capabilities of existing healthcare facilities, enabling them to serve more patients, particularly in remote and underserved areas where access to medical care may be limited.

The national government has acquired “Bagong Pilipinas Mobile Clinics” to ensure that every province and city in Metro Manila has access to these healthcare services.

Currently, all 83 provinces have received these mobile clinics.

“Ngayon matitingnan sila ng doctor ng libre, at hindi na kinakailangan pang bumyahe ng malayo. Dahil sila na ang pinupuntahan, yung LAB for ALL, sila na ang lumalapit. Imbes na pupunta sila sa clinic, yung clinic ang lumalapit,” President Marcos Jr. said.

He also emphasized that this initiative aims to reach Filipinos in need of essential healthcare, especially in areas far from hospitals or other medical facilities.
