The Philippine National Police (PNP) Region 11 conducted a buy-bust operation where they arrested a man and seized illegal drugs worth P149,600.
Identified only by police as alias “JR,” the suspect is now under police custody in Mati, Davao Oriental.
The drug operation occurred in Purok 2, Sitio Magum, Barangay Macambol.
Meanwhile, elements of Tagum police also apprehended a 34-year-old construction worker in a separate drug operation early Wednesday morning.
The suspect, identified only as alias “Mikel” and a resident of Purok Phase 2, Barangay Apokon, Tagum, is now under police custody and will be facing illegal drug charges.
Tagum City Police Officer-In-Charge Captain Dennis Ledesma said a poseur buyer was able to purchase illegal drugs from the suspect worth P6,500.
Cops immediately captured the suspect and seized all the drug paraphernalia, money collectively amounting to P13,600, and a motorcycle used in the buy-bust.
