BYD Cars Philippines, under ACMobility, has launched the BYD Seagull. Aiffy Liu, Country Head of BYD Philippines, highlighted the vehicle’s significance, noting, “The BYD Seagull embodies our commitment to a sustainable future, offering an option that is both practical and enduring for Filipinos.”
The Seagull features a compact design, measuring 3,780mm in length, which is suited for urban driving. Its tight turning radius of 4.95 meters enhances maneuverability in busy streets. The exterior includes LED bar tail lamps and power-adjustable heated mirrors, while the interior offers two-tone leather seats and a 10.1-inch rotating infotainment system compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, the vehicle provides a generous cargo space of up to 930 liters, accommodating various everyday needs.
Powered by a 75PS motor and equipped with a BYD Blade Battery Pack, the Seagull has a range of 300 kilometers on a single charge. It supports both DC and AC charging, making it versatile for different charging scenarios. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 130 km/h. Safety features include a reverse camera, multiple airbags, and advanced driver-assistance systems, ensuring a secure driving experience.
The introductory price for the BYD Seagull is PHP898,000, accompanied by a comprehensive warranty package. Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines, remarked that this launch represents a significant step in providing an accessible electric mobility option for consumers.
