JAC Cars Philippines officially launched its All-New Ytterby electric vehicle (EV) earlier today. The event also marked the official opening of the JAC Pasig dealership, under the Autohub Group. The Ytterby is the latest addition to the brand’s growing EV lineup in the country, showcasing 60 years of engineering expertise as one of China’s first automobile manufacturers.
The Ytterby joins their current roster of passenger cars and commercial vehicles, including the JS4, JS6, JS8 PRO, and T8 PRO pickup.
Brand Head Tonette Lee emphasized that the Ytterby’s launch is as timely as the popularity gain of electric vehicles in the country, offering clean and cost-effective mobility.
The Ytterby, first previewed at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show, showcases JAC’s “Bubble Aesthetics Design” philosophy. Its striking features include large LED headlights, a spacious 1.45-meter skylight crafted from Low-E glass, and tri-color petal wheels, enhancing both safety and aesthetics.
Two variants are available: the Air 405, with a maximum range of 405 kilometers, and the PRO 505, boasting an impressive 505-kilometer range. Both models utilize JAC’s innovative 9-in-1 Electric Drive System, making the Ytterby 40% lighter and 94% more efficient than comparable vehicles.
Safety is paramount, with the Ytterby achieving a five-star rating from C-NCAP. Standard features include multiple airbags and advanced safety systems, while the PRO 505 variant offers Level 2 Assisted Driving for added protection.
The All-New Ytterby is now available at JAC dealerships, priced at P1,195,000 for the Air 405 and P1,320,000 for the PRO 505. Interested buyers can visit JAC Pasig, located at E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue corner Jose Cruz Street.
