THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Thursday apprehended a privately owned vessel with seven crewmembers at the Manila Bay on suspicion of fuel pilferage.
The PCG said in a statement that its patrol ship BRP Boracay spotted the MV Palawan, which was carrying alleged smuggled diesel fuel.

“While underway to Bataan to augment MTKR Jason Bradley operations, BRP Boracay sighted MV Palawan with an undetermined quantity of alleged smuggled diesel fuel on board,” the PCG said.
MV Palawan was going to Navotas when it was intercepted by the PCG.
BRP Boracay towed MV Palawan to Pier 13 at the South Harbor in Manila for further investigation.
