A chicken restaurant which was supposed to open on Saturday and a “lugawan” were both gutted by fire early Wednesday morning in Tagum City, Davao Del Norte.
Tagum City Fire chief SFO1 Rommel Valencia said the fire incident was reported to their office at around 5:36 a.m. on Wednesday.
Valencia said a building in Rizal Street, Tagum was gutted by fire and only two establishments were affected. The Mr. Cravings, a chicken restaurant and Gaudencio Lugawan both located in the said building both went up in smoke when the fire occurred.
The chicken restaurant is about to open this Saturday while the lugawan has been operational for sometime now. Fire investigator 2 Gerald Galot said initial investigation disclosed that the fire was caused by electrical malfunction.
