Philippine Airlines (PAL) said it is expanding its Clark hub network by reopening flights to Siargao starting Dec. 3, 2024.
“We are excited to be able to fly and welcome leisure travelers back to Siargao via Clark once again,” said PAL Express president Rabbi Vincent Ang.
“As Siargao’s popularity soars, we stay committed to supporting the island’s tourism growth in a sustainable way for the benefit of its residents and local businesses, while providing an enhanced flying experience for our passengers,” he said.
PAL’s thrice-weekly Clark-Siargao-Clark direct service will provide ease and convenience for residents of Central and Northern Luzon, as there is no need to go as far as to Manila by land to connect to Siargao.
Noel Manankil, president and chief executive of LIPAD Corp, the consortium that manages and operates Clark International Airport, said the launch of PAL’s new service from Clark to Siargao would enhance connectivity and bring the enchanting destination of Siargao within closer reach for travelers from Clark.
“Siargao enthusiasts can anticipate beginning their island getaway immediately upon arrival at Clark International Airport, where we practice stringent performance measures and monitoring to ensure fast airport processes and a seamless experience for all passengers,” he said
PAL will operate the thrice-weekly flights using the 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 next-generation aircraft.
Siargao joins PAL’s growing hub at Clark International Airport, where PAL now offers daily flights to Cebu, four weekly flights each to Basco and Busuanga (Coron) and thrice weekly flights to Caticlan (Boracay).
The new Clark-Siargao service complements PAL’s twice-daily flights to Siargao from Manila and Cebu, for a total PAL service of 31 weekly flights to Siargao.
