The Department of Health (DOH) convened on Monday, Aug. 30 in Manila, its local and international development partners for healthcare delivery.
The event hosted by the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) was dubbed “Health Care Provider Network (HCPN) Forum: Strengthening Partnerships towards Resilient Health Systems.”
The gathering gave DOH and its development partners a means to update and exchange information.
DOH staff presented a common framework for HCPN technical interventions, to align their assistance and support with their development partners.
The DOH envisions the country’s health systems integration under universal health care (UHC) to be catalyzed by the HCPN demonstration.
The discussions emphasized the efficient allocation of resources to strengthen local health system resilience, addressing existing gaps in the Health Care Provider Network (HCPN) demonstration program and overcoming integration challenges at the level of province- and city-wide health systems.
