DITO Telecommunity, as a means of providing aid and assistance to communities affected by the harsh flooding brought about by Super Typhoon Carina, has launched its “TULONG-TULONG DITO” initiative recently, aimed at a number of public schools located in Valenzuela City, which was declared under the State of Calamity.
The initiative, spearhead by DITO leaders and dedicated volunteers, featured a series of donation drives and community engagement activities, specifically designed to uplift the spirits of students, teachers, school administrators and staff in the aftermath of the recent calamity.
The program was successfully carried out at Sitio Sto. Rosario Elementary School, Constantino Elementary School, and Tagalag Elementary School, where DITO extended its commitment to making a positive and meaningful impact on the local community.
“DITO’s commitment has always been towards nation-building and uplifting local communities through meaningful partnerships and service,” Eric Alberto, DITO Chief Executive Officer shared. “We stand in solidarity with those affected by the ‘Bagyong Karina’. Tulong-tulong tayo DITO.”
TULONG-TULONG DITO marks the enterprise’s first company-wide CSR project of 2024, with several more initiatives lined-up for the rest of the year.
