The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Monday reported 2 deaths due to the combined effects of Typhoon Enteng and Habagat.
OCD however said those numbers were still for validation, including 10 individuals reported to have sustained injuries.
A total of 14 seaports in the country were not in operation, mainly in Region 5 and Calabarzon, resulting in almost 750 stranded passengers due to bad weather conditions.
These ports are Pilar and Matnog Port in Sorsogon, Tabaco Port in Albay, Pasacao Port in Camarines Sur, Virac and San Andres Port in Catanduanes, Masbate City Port, Aroroy Port, San Jacinto Port, San Pascual and Placer Port in Masbate.
OCD said the Department of Social Welfare and Development has a stand-by fund of 43.12 million pesos for Quick Response in its central office and 47.04 million pesos for its field counterparts.
