The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GT Cup Philippines (TGR GT Cup PH) 2024 National Finals concluded in a thrilling live event at the SM Mall of Asia last Sunday, August 18, with Luis Moreno emerging as the grand champion once again.
The highly anticipated finals drew large crowds as top sim racers in the country competed for the chance to represent the Philippines at the Asia Finals in Malaysia in October. The event marked the first time the TGR GT Cup PH Finals were held in a public venue, creating an electrifying atmosphere.
The action-packed day began with the Quarterfinals, where the Top 40 fastest e-racers battled it out on the virtual racetracks. Luis Moreno, Russel Reyes, and Enzo Ison emerged as dominant forces in their respective batches.
The Semifinals followed, with the Top 20 e-racers facing off on the Suzuka Circuit in the Toyota GR Supra RZ ‘20. Moreno, Reyes, and Ison continued to impress, securing their spots in the National Finals.
The National Finals, held across three different tracks and cars, saw the top 10 e-racers battling for the championship title. The intense wheel-to-wheel action captivated the audience.
After the thrilling races, the final results were announced, with Moreno, Ison, and Reyes representing Team Philippines at the Asia Finals in Malaysia on October 13.
Fans now look forward to shifting back to the actual race track as the second race weekend of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippine Cup happening on September 28 at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga, with free admission for the public.
