Empowerment was in the air last Saturday, August 17, as Babae Ako party-list represented by its first nominee, Rossel ‘Shantal’ Dimayuga, hosted an oath-taking ceremony at the Sto. Niño Covered Court in Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Federation Samahang Kababaihan Nagkakaisa Para sa Ikauunlad ng Bayan, Inc., brought together women in a show of unity and commitment.
Dimayuga opened the event with a speech that resonated with the audience, underscoring the party’s dedication to women’s empowerment and encouraging everyone to continue advocating for equality and justice. She then performed the ‘Babae Ako’ party-list jingle to the delight of the audience.
A Zumba dance group added to the lively atmosphere with an intermission number that brought smiles and energy to the gathering. With more activities and initiatives planned, the party is set to continue its work in empowering women by advocating for their rights and dignity.
