A COMPOSITE team of law enforcers on Saturday arrested four drug pushers and seized P516,800 worth of shabu in Datu Piang, Maguindanao del Sur.
The team consisted of agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), the Army, and the local police station The suspects were identified only by their aliases “Dido,” “Jo,” “Zai,” and “Anton.”
The agents also confiscated from the suspects one M60 machine gun, 260 rounds of 7.62 ammunition, and one Cal. 30 pistol.
The suspects were taken to the PDEA Maguindanao Office pending filing of criminal charges against them.
“This successful operation highlights our ongoing efforts to combat the illegal drug trade and addiction in the region, proving the efficacy of a robust collaboration between authorities, community, and intelligence-driven initiatives,” said Brig. Gen. Prexy Tanggawohn, acting police chief of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
