The marathon, which featured five race categories—3K, 5K, 10K, 21K, and 42K—attracted 1,751 participants from all walks of life. From casual runners to seasoned competitors aiming for personal bests, this year’s event surpassed the 1,000 participants of last year’s edition, marking a significant milestone for the annual marathon.

“We are so proud of this event,” said Bobbit Castro, Chief Operations Officer of Palawan Group of Companies. “The success of the PalawanPay Marathon allows us to form a stronger relationship with our customers and partners. This marathon sends the message that PalawanPay is for everyone—fast, convenient, and secure.”

The 42K All Nations Men’s category saw top finishes from Eric Chepsiror, David Kipsang, and Jerome Casinillo. Meanwhile, Artjoy Torregosa, Maricar Camacho, and Lesly Amm Wabingga led the pack in the 42K All Nations Women’s category. Winners took home cash prizes of P25,000, P20,000, and P15,000.

In the 21K race, Mc Xavier Martinez and Jila Antonio emerged as champions, each receiving a cash prize of P15,000 for their efforts.

With the event’s success, Castro promised an even bigger and more exciting marathon next year. “We’re confident that next year’s race will attract more participants from across the Philippines and beyond,” he said, reaffirming PalawanPay’s commitment to providing reliable financial services while engaging the community through events like the marathon.
