Drag Queen Eva Le Queen stunned in a glamorous new look paying tribute to Hidilyn Diaz, the first Filipino Olympic gold medalist.
The look features a floor-length gown by Filipino fashion designer Leo Almodal, resembling the Olympic Torch. Weighing almost 10 kg, the gown is adorned with Swarovski crystals and features an intricately designed top with touches of blue. A gold headpiece resembling the rays of the sun with three stars placed in front, as well as a gold barbell, completed the look.
The drag queen shared that her look serves as a homage to Diaz’s historic win during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the Philippines’ reputation as a “Pageant Powerhouse,” cementing the incomparable beauty and strength of Filipinos.
Eva Le Queen is set to wear the gown at the upcoming Global Dominasian, The Global All Stars Premier event on August 16 at the Tanghalang Pasigueño for her meet and greet with fans. The event serves as a premier viewing party for the inaugural episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars!, where Le Queen served as the representative for the Philippines.
