Filipino pole vaulter EJ Obiena has qualified for the men’s pole vault final at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In order to make the final, he needed to clear the qualification standard of 5.80 meters or be among the 12 best performers.

Obiena successfully made it through the qualification as it narrowed down to 12 participants after 5.75m.
He earlier missed two attempts to clear 5.60m, only to clear 5.70m and 5.75m on his first tries.
